Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026 — early-access draft, not yet reviewed by counsel

GardenBuddy is a personal garden-tracking app. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

How we use it

Your data is used to run the app's core features: showing your plants, generating reminders, resolving your planting zone, and — only with your explicit opt-in — showing anonymized activity to nearby gardeners. We do not sell your data.

Nearby gardeners

Location visibility is off by default. If you turn it on, other users within your area may see your city and what you're currently growing or harvesting — never your exact address or precise location.

Third-party services

We use third-party infrastructure to run the app (hosting, database, and — if you use it — seed packet scanning via optical character recognition). These providers process data on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can turn off location visibility at any time in Settings, and you can delete your account and data on request.
